Website Training Overview & Recommended Schedule

Recommended Training Schedule #

Full Site Training (Sylvia + Admin): two sessions totaling about 3 to 3.5 hours. Session 1 (about 1.5 to 2 hours) covers the core editing skill of uploading and linking PDFs, general text editing, the Home page, the About Us page including the Board and Local Planning tables, the Patient Resources page, and the Contact Us page. Session 2 (about 1.5 hours) covers the Events calendar workflow, the Provider lists, the Procurement Portal, the interactive map, the shared footer and orange boxes, plus hands-on practice and questions.

Board Liaison Training (Meliah Martinez): one focused 45 to 60 minute session covering only the About Us Board section, the Board of Directors table, the Executive Staff listing, posting the monthly Board Agenda and Meeting Documents, and the PDF upload/link skill.

Procurement Training (Xander Hancock): one focused 30 to 45 minute session covering only the Procurement Portal Bid Opportunities list (adding and removing RFPs) and the PDF upload/link skill.

What Each Page Covers #

Detailed, illustrated step-by-step instructions live in their own doc articles, organized by page: Home Page, About Us Page, Patient Resources & Info Page, Events Page, Providers & Procurement Page, Contact Us Page, and General Site-Wide Items. Use the BetterDocs category list in the admin sidebar to jump to any of these.

One Skill Used Everywhere: Uploading and Linking a PDF #

Nearly every task on this list (CCBHC documents, Board Agendas, Local Planning documents, Reports, Provider documents, and Bid Opportunities) uses the same two-step pattern: first upload the PDF to the Media Library, then link text to it inside a Text Editor widget or block. Because this one skill unlocks most of the site, it is taught first in every session.

Helps arrange access to medications donated by the pharmaceutical manufacturing companies for individuals who qualify for the PAP program. Prescribed medications are either sent to the doctor’s office, or the person is sent a pharmacy card for the prescription medication. Please call 469-445-2990 or email pap@ntbha.org.
